Village/Do-Si-Do/Week 4

Dear Village Parent:

As we continue week to week, it is fascinating to watch each and every child—and to recognize the differences among them! I hope that you, as a parent, are able to enjoy the differences while recognizing that it is most important that you compare your child not to the others but to herself.

By watching your own child’s growth, responses, and cues, you will know how best to interact with her. Your dance may be a quiet, stately one rather than a raucous, bouncy one. Your chime ball play might be a silly ball rolling time or a “listen to the sound” time. Rocking might be slow and gentle or constantly changing.

Kindermusik is a time for you to enjoy your child’s individuality while we all enjoy each other!
