Owner/Educator/Licensed Kindermusik Educator Have been teaching for 13 years at the most wonderful job on the planet! Began career in Sales (BS Mktg), worked for several start-ups before taking a Kindermusik class with my little ones in 1995. A new career was born. The Kindermusik curriculum is excellent, and allows a person who loves to sing and dance with children to step in and create a magical class in no time. I love teaching our Young Child students how to play 3 instruments and reveling with them as they learn each new piece of the puzzle along the way. |

She understands the curriculum from both sides of the equation as she is an Elementary Education teacher by trade with a B.A. in English and Theater Arts, and an M.A. in General Psychology. |

What does it take? People often ask “what kind of background do you need to become a Kindermusik educator?” and over the years the answer took on many forms—schooling, experience, temperament :) etc. But after 13 years at the helm, I now answer a bit differently — it’s simple really, you have to REALLY LOVE CHILDREN... and THEIR PARENTS. You have to understand that we are all very different and need to be given the space and time to come to the “dance” in our own way and time...one must be patient...wait for it—and the magic will come! And yes, yes, you must be able to carry a tune while jumping up and down and wiggling, and play three simple instruments, and be able to express your joy of music making with children and their parents. Kindermusik fills me up on a daily basis. It has become a true passion of my life. If you are looking for something to fill your soul a couple of mornings a week—give me a call. Personally, I began my training in 1996 and each summer there-after until I completed each level of the curriculum. Kindermusik International has since streamlined the training, and brought it on-line. Today Kindermusik by Lynda offers the full range of Kindermusik classes in 6 locations with weekend and now evening classes available to meet the needs of the ever changing young families we service. |

NOTE: Lately I am finding children attending preschool at a younger age and for longer periods of time each week during the school year. This makes it hard to find room in the schedule for programs such as Kindermusik. Hats off to those families who understand the importance of music to the soul and manage to find time to make music together. Whether here with us, or elsewhere, exploring musical instruments and singing brings a family together in such a beautiful way—in this busy world of ours—here’s hoping you find some time this year for some family musical time. If it is with us here at Kindermusik by Lynda—all the better!
We love giving you the time and the tools to make musicforalifetime!
